The Kingswood Golf Course Designer

Danie Obermeyer, the designer of the Kingswood golf course in George, is one of the stars of the design circuit.

Amongst his credits is one of the Fancourt Links golf courses, designed in conjunction with Gary Player - acknowledged as one of the world's all time great golf players. These distinctions place Obermeyer firmly on the list of today's sought after golf course designers.

Further vent project, the development of a golf course in Paarl, in the Western Cape. Similar work in China has given Obermeyer not only design experience, but also the ability to work creatively with a variety of terrains.

This, together with his past collaboration with Gary Player and an intimate knowledge of the area, has resulted in a golf course at Kingswood that is challenging and aesthetically pleasing, while at the same time offering a truly African golf experience. With invaluable input from LPGA champion, Sally Little, Obermeyer has designed a course that pays special attention to those key elements of the layout to make the game as competitive, or as family friendly, as the individual player chooses.

With the Sally Little signature on the Obermeyer master plan, female golfers are assured of a particularly comfortable round of golf with some
unique driving challenges.
